The story is set in the 1950s and follows Rupert and Faye’s journey of discovery as they visit Anachrons around the globe. If you love the language of HG Wells, the story of Stranger Things, and the images of Simon Stallenhag’s Tales from the Loop, then you’ll love Anachron!
“The effort of the climb was rewarded with a view of an enormous metal carapace punctured here and there by ragged-edged tears. From beneath our feet came the hollow thump and whistle of trapped air and the groan and creak of the springs. Here was a thing alive!”
Anachron will be an artbook-sized hardback book printed in full colour on high-quality paper. It will feature over 30 original artworks and a narrative story of 10,000+ words. All images are unique and human-made by Brian; there is no AI here.
KICKSTARTER
Anachron will one day see the light of day, whether through Kickstarter, Amazon, or other more traditional means. Our preference is Kickstarter as this gives us complete control to bulk print the hardback books in a much shorter timescale. This platform also affords us the opportunity to introduce unique rewards; imagine becoming a character in the book or owning one of the physical items featured in the artwork! Additionally, every hardback purchaser will have the chance to have their name immortalized on the tribute page at the end of the book!
Curious about how crowdfunding on Kickstarter works? It’s simple! If our project catches your eye, you can pledge to receive one of several rewards, ranging from a PDF copy of the book to a signed physical hardback (more news of reward updates in our next newsletter!). If we don’t reach our goal, your pledge won’t be charged. But if we hit our target, your contribution will help us independently produce the book, accelerating the process. Keep an eye out for the Anachron pre-launch page link coming soon!
